CIEI ENGLISH IMMERSION PROGRAM

Teachers are provided with free housing within walking distance to campuses or convenient to get there by subway or bus. In the apartment, each teacher has a private bedroom and shares a living room, bathroom and kitchen with one or two other teachers. In the shared apartment, there are a TV set, a refrigerator, a washing machine and some basic furniture. Basic beddings are provided in the bedroom for new teachers' immediate use upon arrival. If a teacher needs to have a house phone and/or internet access in the apartment, our program office will help him/her get in touch with a telecommunications company to install them at his/her own cost. Our program office will cover the apartment rent while teachers need to cover their own utility costs such as electricity, water and gas as well as phone/internet installation and usage fees if applicable. If a teacher comes with his/her spouse or partner to work for our program as a couple, they will be provided with a larger bedroom suitable for a couple. Their special housing preference will also be met when conditions allow.
